Trustee - Malawi Partnerships - Volunteer

Think Malawi, an innovative UK based charitable Trust run 100% by volunteers. We work hand in hand with Malawians to improve access to quality education, allowing fulfilment of their ambitions, improve quality of life and contribute to Malawi’s development. We are a team of 10 Trustees.

This is a chance to use your skills to make a direct impact to the lives of children in Malawi. In addition you will gain experience working at board level in an organisation, as well as with hands on project work and helping to administer the charity.

• To oversee the grant application process for Malawian organisations applying for funding from Think Malawi
• To oversee work with partner organisation(s), to develop the appropriate agreements and ensure that the charity and the partners have the information and materials needed to oversee, implement and publicise the project
• To work with fellow trustees to establish selection criteria and use them to select the projects to fund
• Initiate and run projects and initiatives for the charity
• To recruit and manage volunteers within the Malawi Partnerships team
• To build systems and processes within your area of responsibility which will make the charity easier to run, more efficient and more effective
