Lineage Community CIC is a London-based community boxing organisation delivering structured, safeguarding‑led boxing programmes for young people and adults.
Founded and led by an experienced practitioner in education, amateur boxing, and youth development
, Lineage operates at the intersection of sport, education, and social impact
. The organisation focuses on inclusive access, clear development pathways (from grassroots to competition), and long‑term outcomes rather than short‑term interventions.
Based in East London
, Lineage works in partnership with schools, local authorities, charities, and community organisations
, with the aim of building sustainable programmes that create measurable, meaningful change.
We are looking for an experienced Bid / Grant Writer to support Lineage with funding applications across trusts, foundations, and public funding bodies.
This is a part‑time, fully remote role
, working around your availability
, offered on a flexible, contract basis.
Hours and responsibility are expected to grow over time as the organisation scales and funding is secured.
You will work directly with the founder, helping to shape funding strategy and translating on‑ground delivery into strong, evidence‑led applications.
Key Responsibilities- Researching and identifying relevant funding opportunities (charities, trusts, foundations, public bodies)
- Writing and coordinating grant and bid applications
- Supporting funding strategy and application pipelines
- Working with delivery data (impact, safeguarding, outcomes) to strengthen applications
- Tracking deadlines and maintaining a clear funding calendar
- Supporting relationship management with funders where appropriate
- Where relevant, preparing applications for partial funding or phased funding awards
This role is suited to someone comfortable working with a small, founder‑led CIC and adapting applications to real‑world delivery constraints.
About YouYou’ll likely have:
- Proven experience writing successful UK grant or bid applications
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate impact clearly
- Confidence working independently from briefs, conversations, and delivery insight
- A good understanding of the UK charity / CIC funding landscape
- An interest in community sport, youth development, education, or social impact
Formal qualifications are not essential
— relevant experience and a strong track record matter far more.
- Fully remote and flexible around your availability
- Part‑time work with scope to grow in hours and responsibility
- Direct access to the founder and real decision‑making
- Opportunity to shape funding strategy, not just write applications
- A project with genuine on‑the‑ground delivery and measurable impact
If this sounds like a good fit, please get in touch via Linked In or send a brief overview of your experience and availability.
