Overview
East London Waterworks Park is looking for facilitator volunteers to lead projects and groups in creating our community‑owned park.
What difference will you make?Your workshop and meeting facilitation will be instrumental in fostering a strong connection between our community. Your input will help us craft compelling narratives that inspire, educate, and engage our service users, stakeholders, funders, and the general public, ultimately driving support for the park's mission and ensuring its long‑term sustainability.
QualificationsExpert facilitator experienced in leading inclusive workshops and participatory decision‑making. Skilled at building rapport with diverse groups to foster community ownership and trust. A collaborative leader, I excel at managing volunteer programs and sharing expertise to achieve shared goals. Deeply passionate about environmental sustainability and social impact, specifically for East London Waterworks Park, creating accessible public spaces through collective action.
ResponsibilitiesVolunteer‑led East London Waterworks Park won a 2024 NLA award and raised £2 m towards buying the 14‑acre Lea Bridge Thames Water Depot to turn into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming, forest schools, and community spaces. We are looking for facilitators to participate in our community‑led working groups who are enhancing community cohesion, growing support of the project and co‑designing the park with the wider public.
