Role: Communications & Social Media Volunteer

Duration: 3 months

Work Hours: Part time (21 hours a week)

Location: Remote/Hybrid in London (with at least one day a week in the office)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Communications & Social Media Volunteer to help us share the impact of our work with a range of audiences, including partners, supporters, and the communities we serve. This role offers an opportunity to develop hands‑on experience in digital communications while contributing to meaningful, socially impactful work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the creation and delivery of social media content.
  • Handle day‑to‑day communications tasks, including drafting and scheduling social media posts, newsletters, and updating website content.
  • Assist the Communications Manager in implementing the organisation’s communications strategy across platforms and channels.
  • Maintain Kineara’s brand voice across all social media platforms.
  • Moderate and engage with members of a Facebook support group.
We are looking for someone who is:
  • A university student, recent graduate looking for work experience with a keen interest in digital media, and content creation.
  • Interested in creating engaging, creative content that connects with diverse audiences.
  • Passionate about supporting people experiencing vulnerabilities, with an understanding of the sensitivities involved.
  • Interested to learn about ethical storytelling within the charity and non‑profit sector.
  • A proactive, organised self‑starter with creative content ideas.
