Volunteer Roles: Activities Volunteer | Peer Mentor | Community Navigator | Life Skills Volunteer | Opportunity Coach | Befriending and Social Connection Volunteer

Location: Various service locations across London (note: not all services have step‑free access)

We look for volunteers who can commit to regular participation for at least six months. Volunteering takes place during daytime working hours and can be arranged to suit your availability.

We value volunteers who are friendly, reliable, non‑judgemental, empathetic, and share a trauma‑informed approach. Your personality, skills and life experience are all welcome.

We will:

• Work with you to find a suitable volunteering arrangement
• Reimburse agreed expenses related to your volunteering
• Welcome you warmly into our team and support you to get the most from your experience
• Recognise and celebrate your contribution; we can provide references
• Provide training, guidance, and ongoing supervision to keep you and participants safe
• Offer opportunities to give feedback on your experience
• Make you eligible to register with the Blue Light Discount Card

SIG is a not‑for‑profit organisation that provides support and care across London, Brighton, Bedfordshire, Luton, Kent, and Liverpool. Our goal is to empower individuals by transforming lives through trauma‑informed solutions and partnership.
