About the Foundation

The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation is an impactful grant-making charity dedicated to widening access to the arts, nurturing talent and creating life-changing opportunities for children and young people. Through grants, scholarships and partnerships, the Foundation supports those pursuing creative paths, ensuring that talent, not background, determines who has the chance to thrive.

At the heart of the Foundation's work is a belief in the transformative power of the arts. With a focused and thoughtful approach to grant‑making, the Foundation supports individuals and organisations across the cultural sector, helping young people build confidence, develop skills and realise their potential.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Director will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure that the Foundation delivers its charitable objectives responsibly and in line with its long‑term vision. Successful candidates will build strong relationships across the charitable, cultural and education sectors, while working effectively with the wider Andrew Lloyd Webber family of organisations. They will act as an ambassador for the Foundation, develop partnerships, identify opportunities for strategic collaboration and enhance its long‑term sustainability, impact and reputation.

Candidates should demonstrate significant senior leadership experience in the charity sector, ideally within a grant‑making organisation, trust, foundation or fundraising environment, together with an understanding of charity governance, audit and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will bring excellent judgement, strong financial skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and a self‑starting approach needed to thrive in a small, high‑trust environment. A strong commitment to access, opportunity and inclusion in the arts will be essential.

• Permanent contract (4 days a week)
• Salary: c. £70k‑80k, plus benefits including pension with up to 10% employer contribution
• Working in a hybrid arrangement, with the office based in Central London
