Help us secure funding to transform the lives of children and young people with SEND. We're looking for an experienced Tender Writer to identify opportunities and write compelling bids that will help Bright Futures 4 All expand its impact across our communities.

Every successful tender has the potential to create lasting change. Your expertise will help Bright Futures 4 All secure funding that enables us to expand our services, reach more children and families, and continue providing free support to young people with SEND. As a growing charity, funding is vital to our sustainability. Your contribution will strengthen our ability to deliver tutoring, mentoring, holiday programmes, wellbeing initiatives and family support, ensuring more young people have access to the opportunities they deserve.

By helping us build a strong pipeline of successful bids, you'll leave a lasting legacy that continues to benefit our organisation long after your volunteer placement ends.

We are looking for someone with previous experience writing successful tenders, bids or funding applications. Experience working with charities, education, local authorities or the voluntary sector would be advantageous but is not essential. This is a hybrid volunteer role.

Qualifications
  • Experience writing successful tenders or bids
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills
  • Strong research and analytical abilities
  • Ability to interpret tender requirements and respond clearly
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise work
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating with colleagues when needed
  • A passion for making a positive social impact
Responsibilities
  • Research relevant public and private sector tender opportunities
  • Review tender specifications and eligibility requirements
  • Write, edit and submit compelling tender responses
  • Gather information and evidence from across the organisation
  • Work with colleagues to develop accurate budgets and supporting documentation where required
  • Help develop a library of standard responses and supporting content for future bids
  • Advise on best practice for tender submissions and continuous improvement

This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping us secure funding that directly supports the children, young people and families we work with.
