Help Every Donation Reach the Children – Trusted Volunteer, NW London

Every donation helps Boys Town Jerusalem provide education, care and opportunity to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are looking for a trustworthy, organised and reliable volunteer in North-West London to help ensure that donations sent to our UK office are processed safely and promptly.

This is a small but important ongoing role where accuracy, discretion and continuity really matter. It would suit someone responsible who lives near Hendon and would enjoy using a little of their time to make sure every donation reaches the disadvantaged young people it is intended to help.

• Collect our charity post from LSJS, Albert Road, NW4, during opening hours (closed Fridays)
• Photograph and accurately record any cheques received
• Pay the cheques into our Virgin Money account at a local Post Office
• Send the cheque details and paying‑in receipt promptly to our accounts team

We are happy to be flexible on location and/or times if required.

British Friends of Boys Town Jerusalem is the long‑established UK charity supporting one of Israel’s most respected educational institutions for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Boys Town Jerusalem was founded in 1948 by Rabbi Alexander S. Linchner, who dedicated his life to giving vulnerable Jewish boys, including Holocaust survivors and refugees arriving in the new State of Israel, the education, skills and values they needed to build secure and independent futures.

Today, more than 950 boys and young men aged 12–20 study on its 18‑acre campus in Jerusalem. Many come from families facing poverty, instability or other significant challenges. Boys Town provides them with an outstanding academic and technological education, alongside pastoral care, practical support and a strong foundation of Jewish values. Students develop skills in fields including engineering, electronics, computing and robotics, preparing them for meaningful careers and lives of contribution.

For more than 75 years, Boys Town Jerusalem has helped generations of young people overcome difficult circumstances and fulfil their potential. British Friends of Boys Town Jerusalem raises vital funds and awareness in the UK to make that work possible.
