ABOUT

THE ROLE

The Corporate Volunteer Intern will be the first point of contact for companies interested in organising employee volunteering days with Trees for Cities.

You will support the coordination of our corporate volunteering programme, from responding to enquiries and managing bookings to helping plan and deliver volunteering events. Working with colleagues across the organisation, you will maintain accurate records, prepare communications and help ensure corporate volunteers have a welcoming and rewarding experience.

This varied, hands-on internship combines office-based coordination with opportunities to support outdoor tree-planting and urban-greening activities. Training and support will be provided, helping you develop practical experience in project management, events, corporate partnerships, fundraising and urban forestry.

ABOUT TREES FOR CITIES

Trees for Cities is an ambitious, far-reaching organisation.

Trees for Cities is the only charity dedicated to improving lives by planting, protecting and promoting urban trees. We do this by working closely with communities, landowners, partners and funders to deliver transformational

change in towns and cities across the UK and overseas. We plant trees in schools, streets, estates, parks and open spaces to create nature-rich urban woodland, hedgerows, orchards, avenues and playgrounds. We are a rapidly growing and developing organisation that suits ambitious, dedicated and passionate staff.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and enthusiastic person who communicates confidently and enjoys working with a range of people. You’ll be able to manage different tasks and priorities, use your initiative and work effectively both independently and with colleagues.

You do not need a degree or previous experience in fundraising or the environmental sector. We value skills gained through paid work, volunteering, education, community activities, caring responsibilities and personal projects. You should be willing to learn, comfortable using standard IT systems and motivated by our work to create healthier, greener cities.

Trees for Cities is committed to the principles of equal opportunity. We value diversity and are committed to promoting diversity within the workplace. We aim to ensure that our employees achieve their full potential and that all employment decisions, including recruitment, are taken without reference to irrelevant or discriminatory criteria. A full copy of our Equal Opportunities Policy can be provided on request.

Please note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role, you must therefore have a valid right to work in the UK to apply.

Final date to receive applications: Monday 17 August 2026 at 9am.

Interviews scheduled for: w/c 24th August with flexibility around candidate holidays.

If you are shortlisted for interview, you will normally be contacted within two weeks after applying. If you do not hear from us within this period then you should assume that on this occasion you have not been selected for interview.

Trees for Cities is the first UK environmental organisation to have been awarded social value management certification. Trees for Cities is an equal opportunities employer. Registered Charity No: 1032154.
