Job Introduction

Climate change Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.

We are recruiting an exciting new role within Warmer Homes London (WHL), a partnership between the Mayor of London and London Councils established to make Londoners' homes healthier, greener and more affordable to heat.

WHL works with local authorities and housing associations across the capital to accelerate the delivery of high-quality retrofit programmes, helping residents reduce energy bills, improve comfort and cut carbon emissions. Through London's Warm Homes:
Social Housing Fund Strategic Partnership, WHL is supporting the delivery of £78 million of government funding to improve the energy efficiency of thousands of social homes across London.

The Retrofit Delivery Programme Officer will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, initially supporting the 26 members of London's Warm Homes:
Social Housing Fund Wave 3 Strategic Partnership to deliver retrofit measures across social housing at an unprecedented scale.

You will be a key operational contact, working with Local Authorities and Housing Associations to help overcome delivery challenges, maximise grant funding, share learning and adopt best practice across the Partnership.

You will support programme monitoring, performance management and stakeholder engagement activities, helping members navigate delivery risks and ensuring programmes remain on track to achieve their objectives.

Whilst initially focused on London's Warm Homes:
Social Housing Fund Strategic Partnership, the role will also support the development and delivery of wider pan‑London retrofit programmes as Warmer Homes London continues to grow.

You will be motivated by the opportunity to help deliver large-scale retrofit programmes that improve residents' homes, tackle fuel poverty and support London's transition to net zero.
