Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a UK Programmes Coordinator position within the Fundraising department. The UK Programmes Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and administration of Human Appeal's UK-based programmes. The postholder will work closely with internal departments, local partners, community organisations, and stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered effectively, budgets are monitored, programme activities are documented, and reporting requirements are met.

The role will also support fundraising initiatives, donor engagement activities, and programme communications.

Main Responsibilities Programme Coordination
  • Coordinate day-to-day administration and implementation activities for UK programmes.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and delivery in line with programme objectives.
  • Maintain programme files, records, beneficiary data, and project documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring project performance and progress against agreed targets.
  • Coordinate meetings with partners, stakeholders, and internal teams and ensure actions are followed up.
  • Support programme evaluations and lessons learned exercises.
Monitoring and Reporting
  • Assist with collecting data, case studies, project updates, and impact information from projects and partners.
  • Prepare routine programme reports, updates, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Monitor project milestones and elevate potential risks or delays where required.
  • Support compliance with organisational policies, donor requirements, and safeguarding standards.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting purposes.
Partner and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Maintain positive working relationships with community groups, local authorities, charities, and programme partners.
  • Support communications with project delivery partners and external stakeholders.
  • Attend community events, meetings, and networking opportunities representing Human Appeal where required.
  • Assist in identifying partnership opportunities that support programme objectives.
Fundraising Support
  • Assist with the development of funding applications, concept notes, and programme proposals.
  • Support research into trusts, foundations, grant opportunities, and local funding sources.
  • Provide programme information, case studies, budgets, and impact data to support fundraising campaigns.
  • Work with fundraising and communications teams to promote UK programme activities and successes.
Financial and Administrative Support
  • Support budget monitoring and expenditure tracking for UK programmes.
  • Process purchase requests, quotations, invoices, and programme-related expenses as required.
  • Ensure programme expenditure records are maintained accurately.
  • Assist with procurement and coordination of resources required for project delivery.
Research and Community Development
  • Conduct research into local community needs, emerging trends, and funding opportunities.
  • Support the development of programme initiatives aligned with local priorities.
  • Gather information and feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders to support programme improvement.
  • Assist with awareness campaigns and community engagement activities.

Candidate essential criteria
  • Experience working within the charity or third sector.
  • Understanding of UK community programmes and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience supporting grant-funded projects.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Candidate desirable criteria
  • Additional language skills e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic
