Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Programmes Coordinator (London) to join our team based in London . The role will be worked on a full-time basis in the Office. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of a permanent contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary.

As Programmes Coordinator (London), to provide oversight of and support to allocated country offices in all operational and financial matters as well as lead on the portfolio management of Human Appeal’s programmatic activities with field offices and local partners across the region. Lead on the designing, implementation and reporting of effective programmes, according to country and regional strategies. To contribute to strategy development and provide support in aligning and shaping organisational and strategic decisions and goals.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Programmes Coordinator (London) :
  • To ensure an up-to-date overview of operational matters across field offices (FO) and effectively manage all country programmes in a highly organised and systematic manner
  • Work closely with Country Directors to provide management and oversight of the FO and to provide guidance and direction for staff and operations in order to develop FO and strengthen and maximise impact of programmes .
  • To take responsibility for project management in the allocated countries by working closely and supporting staff in the field/partner offices to ensure appropriate resource allocation (both financial and human) and successful delivery of all projects including large and/or complex ones
  • To ensure the successful delivery of projects through effective monitoring of projects, appropriate management of field staff, and clear evaluation to measure effectiveness of interventions for evidence-based learning and to design new projects
    • Education
      - Bachelor degree in Social Science/International Development or any related field.
    • Experience
      - Minimum 3 years of experience with NGOs.
    • Essential Criteria - MS Office Suite, Fluent written and spoken English.
    • Desirable Criteria
      - Relevant MAster's degree preferred, Additional Languages such as Arabic, Urdu.
