Brent Giving is looking for someone to join their small but ambitious team as a Programme and Community Manager .
Brent Giving is a resident-led grantmaking organisation based in the London Borough of Brent. They were founded on a radical idea: that the people closest to the problems should be the ones making the decisions about where funding goes. Their model puts real power in the hands of community Ambassadors from diverse backgrounds, and in their first year we helped them to distribute over £80,000 to grassroots projects tackling poverty across Harlesden, South Kilburn, Stonebridge, and St Raphaels.
Brent Giving is a new and ambitious organisation. In its second year, it is dedicated to creating a fairer, more equitable Brent for all. It’s mission is to tackle local inequality by building powerful connections between businesses, residents, and grassroots community projects. Brent Giving believe that by investing in the community and fostering strong relationships, they can unlock the potential of the borough and ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
This is a foundational and exciting time to join Brent Giving. You will play an essential role in building the organisation to the next phase, supporting its mission and establishing a legacy of community power in Brent.
The Programme and Community Manager will lead community engagement and programme delivery for Brent Giving, supporting resident participation, strengthening local relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of participatory grantmaking activities. The role will play a key part in building trust, increasing community involvement, and supporting grassroots organisations across Brent.
