We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, highly motivated, and enthusiastic midwife to join the Midwifery Digital Team at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on a permanent basis. We have recently changed over to badgernet and are really excited to move forward to the next step in our digital journey.
The post holder will work alongside the senior team to ensure the development of maternity information systems, support the integration of digital technology across maternity, and ensure that clinical practice aligns with professional standards. Through clinical expertise, leadership, and innovation, the post holder will play a key role in enhancing digital maternity services and improving patient care.
Main duties of the job- To lead and support the implementation and training of staff in the use of digital maternity record and associated systems across the maternity services, and new digital systems
- To maintain and improve data quality within the Maternity Unit, ensuring providing correct validation of the data required for local and national reporting.
- To track freedom of information requests within the maternity services
- To be the main point of contact within the unit for queries and issues regarding data quality.
- To work and resolve errors and outstanding issues within the system as agreed by maternity systems developers.
- To work and resolve errors and outstanding issues within the maternity digital system, liaising with the support team.
- To work closely with the IT department.
- To participate in audits as appropriate to the role.
- To produce reports as required from the Maternity Management Team to provide evidence required by the CCG and local and national agencies.
- To work closely with the Maternity Clinical Governance Team in preparing data for the Maternity Dashboard and trends analysis.
- To advise on further development requirements in identified from National Guidelines and recommendations from audit i.e. NICE.
- To assist and monitor training progress of all midwives.
- To work clinically in all areas of Maternity as service needs dictate.
- To Support Maternity unit in implementing the new digital solution
- To Support the clinical settings as a super user or digital champion
