Cardiac Scrub Nurse/ODP - East Wing Theatres
We are currently offering an excellent developmental opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our cardiac scrub team in East Wing Theatres. This opportunity will allow you to work alongside our excellent team within Operating Theatres and develop your skills in Cardiac surgery. Cardiac experience desirable but theatre experience is essential.

Our Theatres, Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine Academy aims to develop a team of practitioners, with knowledge and skills to care for patients, recognizing the commitments of our staff and rewarding achievements.
Training and support is provided whilst we further develop your existing skills and knowledge, as you gain experience within the specialty of Cardiac Surgery.
This advert is open to applicants currently in the UK with an active Nursing and Midwifery Council Personal Identification Number (PIN). This refers to an NMC PIN, which allows you to work as a registered nurse or midwife in the UK.
Please note, this does not include the Personal Reference Number (PRN) used during the pre-OSCE application process.

Job responsibilities- Responsible for carrying out clinical practice within designated clinical areas, ensuring that high quality, current evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations for patients is provided from admission through to discharge.
- Will be responsible for the application of knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices, underpinned by theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
- To ensure that patients receive high quality clinical care and a good patient experience, having regard for their customs, religious beliefs and doctrines.
- Recognise and avoid situations that may be detrimental to the health and wellbeing of the individuals.
- Recognise the significance of observations made, and use them to develop and initiate nursing assessments and devise a plan of care.
