Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic London is looking to recruit a Critical Care Outreach Charge Nurse to join our Outreach team. The role offers a competitive salary range up to £64,890.00, depending upon experience.

Full time, permanent position

Shift patterns: 6 week rota of 19 shifts – 08:00–20:30 and 20:00–08:30. The position works Monday to Sunday across days, nights and weekends.

The Critical Care Outreach Charge Nurse will use their advanced critical care nursing skills to respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week across all inpatient areas of CCL, reporting to the Outreach Lead.

What will your duties include:

• Suitable experience as a Critical Care Outreach Charge Nurse
• Carry out advanced assessment and care of deteriorating patients leading to early intervention and treatment.
• Act independently as a specialist resource to provide critical care expertise to the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure the Critical Care Outreach Service meets the requirements of professional and healthcare regulators, managing non‑compliance and escalating to the Outreach Lead as necessary.
• Act as an effective clinical expert and role model whilst providing direct quality patient care, sharing expertise with colleagues.

What we need from you:

• Current nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), with no restrictions to practice.
• Evidence of full Occupational Health Clearance for Exposure Prone Procedures (EPP) – essential.
• Advanced Physical Assessment Course – essential.
• Completed Adult Critical Care/Intensive Care Course or equivalent – essential.
• Advanced critical care nursing skills, with demonstrable broad experience in high‑acuity critically‑ill adults – essential.
