Staff Nurse - AAU​/OPAU

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 5 staff nurse to join our team on the Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) and Older Persons Assessment Unit (OPAU).

AAU is a busy 29-bedded unit with 13 monitored beds and sees a wide range of complex acute conditions, including level 2 patients (NIV and tracheostomy). OPAU is a 20-bedded acute frailty assessment unit, catering to patients aged 65 and above with acute conditions.

Your role will require you to work and rotate between AAU and OPAU, collaborating closely with staff nurses, junior sisters, and being supported by our Practice Development Nurses (PDN).

You will be expected to provide direct patient care, assess, plan, implement and evaluate priorities of care, and support professional development through training.

The post is based at Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone, East London, a vibrant area known for its rich diversity and culture.
