Job SummaryAn exciting opportunity for a motivated Clinical Research Nurse to join our embedded research team in the Emergency Department at St George's. The role supports the delivery of high‑quality research studies, working closely with clinical teams, patients, and relatives. You will be part of a supportive and dynamic environment with opportunities for professional development and research training.
Main DutiesDedicated Band 6 Clinical Research Nurse to support the delivery of research studies in the busy Emergency Department. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced clinical environment and is keen to develop their research skills in a supportive and forward‑thinking team. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will help identify, recruit and follow up patients.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of research studies in the Emergency Department
- Identify, recruit and follow up patients for studies
- Work closely with clinical teams, specialists and study sponsors
- Maintain accurate study documentation and databases
- Assist with study set‑up and protocol adherence
- NMC registered nurse
- BSc or equivalent
- GCP training
- MSc
- Post‑qualification course (e.g., Advanced Assessment, Care of ED patient)
- More than 1 year ED nursing experience
- More than 1 year research experience
- Experience of research study set‑up
- Experience with database use
- Disclosure and Barring Service check – subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975
- Current UK professional registration (NHS registration)
