Job Overview
We are looking to appoint a registered Nurse to support the delivery of patients on cancer pathways. The successful applicant will provide specialist knowledge in breast cancer care, ensuring patients receive accurate information about diagnosis, treatment options, and recovery. This is a key role as a trusted point of contact for patients and families during a highly stressful time. You will offer counselling and coping strategies, reducing anxiety and improving mental well‑being.
MainDuties of the Job
- Assess individual care needs and develop, implement and evaluate plans of care for all symptomatic breast patients in accordance with agreed policies and professional guidelines.
- Provide nursing support to the symptomatic Breast Team.
- Participate in and monitor quality assurance procedures to maintain the breast service in line with national targets and standards.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
