About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at HMP Pentonville, a category B male prison in London with a capacity of 1200 inmates and serving as a remand prison awaiting trial. The prison is located 10 minutes from Kings Cross station and offers free parking.
Hours37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
SalaryFull‑time position with an annual salary up to £71,152.

Candidates must have a legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities- Use expert clinical skills to assess and manage a wide range of complex patient problems, providing clinical leadership for the team.
- Act as a role model, ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times; support senior clinicians on site as part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients.
- Work with the team to ensure patient safety, manage complex cases, and apply the most up‑to‑date treatment methodology.

- Registered professional with current registration (NMC, HCPC).
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Master’s in Advanced Practice or equivalent.
- Recognised prescribing qualification.
- Understanding of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, evidence‑based practice and national standards.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
