An exciting opportunity has arisen for 1 band 6, 37.5 hours per week. We are looking for a dynamic, forward‑thinking, self‑motivated individual to join our Elm Ward senior nursing team.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for providing leadership to the team, ensuring that care standards are monitored and maintained at the highest level, as well as working collaboratively with members of the multi‑disciplinary team to provide a quality service for patients.
As a Charge nurse/ Ward Sister you will have proven organisational and management skills and will be able to motivate and effectively lead the ward team in delivering high quality care to our patients. You will be a clinical role model and have a willingness to develop the team as well as your own professional growth.
To be responsible for the planning, provision and delivery of an effective, 24‑hour nursing service for the ward/department area. To manage, support and develop the ward/department team and ensure that nursing practice and procedures conform to identified NMC and Trust policies and standards.
To be a role model for all staff and ensure that the ward environment is a safe and effective learning area for staff and student nurses.
To be an advanced clinical practitioner and support and direct the educational and training needs of the nursing team to enable the provision of a patient‑focused, evidence‑based nursing service.
To be responsible for making the patient the focus of care within the ward environment.
