Senior Clinical Fellow
Senior Clinical Fellow (ST5-7) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (Princess Royal University Hospital). Fixed term 12 months with a 1:8 on‑call rota. Full time 40 hours per week.
Responsibility includes providing Maternity & Gynaecology services, contributing to audit programmes, infection prevention, and maintaining patient safety. On‑call duties with EWTD compliance, covering leave and sickness. Work within a multi‑disciplinary team and collaborate with other clinical staff.
Work LocationPrincess Royal University Hospital, Orpington, London.
Salary and Benefits£76,582 per annum plus London Zone allowance £2,162. Benefits typical of the Trust.
Main Duties- Provide day‑to‑day obstetrics and gynaecology services in a busy teaching hospital.
- Contribute to departmental audit programme and quality improvement.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control policies.
- Prepare for and undertake protective interventions aligned with evidence‑based practice.
- Cover on‑call rota, including covering colleague's leave and sickness absences.
- Fully registered with the GMC.
- Completed pre‑registration/Foundation years (or equivalent outside the UK).
- Experience in day‑to‑day organisation of O&G services.
- Understanding of medical audit and quality improvement.
- Experience with undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
- Effective communication skills.
- Familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices.
- Experience with information technology and general computer skills.
Evidence of clinical audit and/or quality improvement project, experience with information technology, and commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
Employer CertificationUK professional registration required. Subject to Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and Disclosure and Barring Service requirements.
