As a Mental Health Nurse, you will work as an effective member of the Multi-Disciplinary team and promote the best interests of the clients and carers and ensure that prescribed nursing care is effectively implemented. Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework. Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress. Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
A qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months of post-registration experience is required, along with active NMC registration and completion of a preceptorship programme. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional standards, and be able to demonstrate ongoing post-registration continuing professional development. They will show a positive attitude and a commitment to change, service improvement, and high-quality care.
The ability to adopt flexible and innovative approaches to practice is essential, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills. Based in Southgate, this role offers the opportunity to be part of a well-established service offering treatment for a range of mental health difficulties, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
