Registered Nurse

Band 5 £ 34,544 - £43,039 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461 per annum

24 hours per week

Fixed Term contract for 12 months

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a registered nurse in Medical Ward
2. Applicants must be NMC registered and from General Nursing background. This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity for continuing professional development in diverse and varied settings within the hospital setting. The ability to work independently is desirable but not essential.

Medical 2 is an acute general ward that has 22 funded beds. Within the department is designated Stroke Unit.

The key responsibilities of the role will be: the provision of professional nursing care, to meet the individual needs of the patient population and be accountable for the delivery of such care, the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, and the facilitation and support of staff development in the hospital. Experience of nursing patients in an acute setting is essential.

Evidence of ongoing professional development is essential.
