Job SummaryWe are looking for Community Staff Nurses to join our dynamic, friendly team who are patient focused and thrive on providing quality care.
The Community Nurse role is highly skilled, requiring abilities such as PICC lines/IV insertion. We are in a period of change within our District Nursing service, and we offer a new career pathway for those wishing to develop further. All community nurses start at Band 5; upon successful completion of clinical and non‑clinical competencies, they progress to a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse.
From there, a District Nursing course (subject to availability) is offered, and we support progression to a District Nursing qualification.
- Contribute to the holistic assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care.
- Implement, monitor and maintain high standards of care.
- Re‑assess and re‑evaluate programmes of care when needed.
- Be an active member of the team, sharing best practice whenever possible.
This is a challenging but rewarding position supported by teams and regular reflection & professional training.
Shift Pattern8:15 am – 4:15 pm
10:45 am – 6:45 pm
Weekend availability welcomed.

Job Responsibilities- Safeguard children, young people and adults at risk.

- Experience of writing accurate records and providing high‑standard clinical care

- Experience in drug administration or willingness to attend study days
- Knowledge of standard setting/clinical audit
- Community experience or placement
Required under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. Disclosure to the DBS will be requested.
