Ward Manager

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for an experienced RMN Band 6 and above to lead our Multi‑Disciplinary Team on our adult acute inpatient ward.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated nurse who is committed, caring, compassionate, has good leadership and problem‑solving skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of the multi‑disciplinary team and a positive attitude to service developments and quality improvement.

John Dickson Ward is an 18‑bedded male acute ward, currently based at Maudsley Hospital.

The multi‑disciplinary team is dynamic and diverse, including RMNs, CSWs, an OT, doctors and a consultant who work closely to support patients on their recovery journey. Patients also have access to psychology and involvement into various activities while on the ward.

• Responsible for the operational management of clinical area.
• Lead and effectively manage the ward nursing team.
• Ensure high standards of evidence‑based, patient‑centered care are maintained.
• To establish and maintain systems for clinical governance.
• To effectively and efficiently manage ward budget and resources.
• To promote good communication within the team and with external agencies.
