About

The Role

As Clinical Education Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical education programmes that support workforce capability and enhance patient outcomes. You will work collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to identify learning needs, design engaging educational initiatives, and promote excellence in clinical practice across the organisation.

You will provide expert educational leadership, supporting both registered and non-registered healthcare professionals through a range of learning opportunities, including induction, competency-based training, continuing professional development, and clinical skills education.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure training programmes are evidence-based, compliant with professional and regulatory standards, and aligned to organisational priorities. You will also play a key role in supporting quality improvement initiatives, workforce development strategies, and the implementation of new clinical services and pathways.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician and educator who is passionate about developing others, driving professional standards, and creating a positive learning culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of clinical education and training programmes across the organisation
  • Identify learning and development needs through collaboration with clinical and operational stakeholders
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate educational initiatives that support safe, effective, and patient-centred care
  • Support clinical competency frameworks, assessments, and professional development pathways
  • Facilitate induction, onboarding, and continuing professional development activities
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and educational support to healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, professional, and organisational training requirements
  • Promote evidence-based practice and support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate training outcomes, producing reports and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support workforce development and service innovation
  • Maintain accurate training records and contribute to governance and audit requirements

Act as a clinical education subject matter expert and champion a culture of learning and excellence
About You

You are an HCPC registered healthcare professional with significant post-registration experience within imaging services and a passion for education, professional development, and clinical excellence.

You have experience leading education programmes, developing competency frameworks, and supporting workforce development within a healthcare environment. Confident in delivering training to a wide range of audiences, you are skilled at translating learning needs into practical educational solutions that improve both staff capability and patient outcomes.

You are an inspiring coach and mentor, able to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams and positively influence practice. Organised, proactive, and collaborative, you are comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining the highest standards of governance, compliance, and professionalism.

Most importantly, you are committed to creating a positive learning culture where colleagues feel supported, empowered, and motivated to continually develop their skills and deliver exceptional care.

At Welbeck, we believe exceptional care starts with inclusive teams. We are committed to creating a workplace where difference is valued and excellence is expected; where people feel respected, and everyone is supported to do their very best. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experiences and appoint on merit, recognising that diverse perspectives strengthen clinical quality, leadership, operational delivery and patient care.
