Job Overview
The Trust Resuscitation Manager is the operational and professional lead for resuscitation services across the Trust, working in partnership with the Nurse Consultant for Deteriorating Patient and Clinical Skills to ensure patients receive safe, effective and evidence-based emergency care. The Trust Resuscitation Manager is the operational and professional lead for resuscitation services across the Trust, working in partnership with the Nurse Consultant for Deteriorating Patient and Clinical Skills to ensure patients receive safe, effective and evidence-based emergency care. The role provides strategic leadership, operational management, clinical expertise and educational oversight, ensuring the organisation meets national standards, regulatory requirements and best practice in resuscitation and deteriorating patient care

Main duties of the job

  • Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of the Resuscitation Team, including line management, workforce planning and service development.
  • Lead the Trust s resuscitation governance framework, providing assurance through audit, performance monitoring, risk management and reporting to senior committees.
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate high-quality resuscitation education programmes, including Immediate Life Support (ILS), simulation training and competency assessment.
  • Act as the Trust s expert adviser on resuscitation, deteriorating patient care and emergency response, supporting clinical teams across all services.
  • Lead the review, development and implementation of resuscitation and deteriorating patient policies, procedures and clinical guidelines.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement through audit, research, simulation, innovation and the implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Lead the Trust s cardiac arrest audit programme, emergency equipment assurance and simulation to improve patient outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on the procurement, standardisation and governance of resuscitation equipment across the organisation.
  • Build strong multidisciplinary relationships with clinical, operational and executive colleagues
  • Represent the Trust locally, regionally and nationally, maintaining awareness of emerging evidence and influencing the future development of resuscitation services.
