Lead Recovery/HDU Nurse Location: North LondonSalary: Up to £45,000 per annumContract: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role As the Lead Recovery/HDU Nurse, you will provide clinical leadership across the Recovery and HDU areas, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care. Working closely with senior nursing and theatre leadership teams, you will support the day-to-day management of the department, promote best practice, and help maintain the highest standards of clinical care.

The successful candidate will be a visible and supportive leader, committed to developing staff, driving quality improvements, and ensuring an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and support to Recovery and HDU teams.
• Coordinate and oversee the daily running of the department.
• Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical practice are consistently maintained.
• Support the management of staffing, resources, and patient flow.
• Act as a clinical role model and expert practitioner.
• Lead on quality improvement initiatives, audits, and clinical governance activities.
• Support, mentor, and develop junior nurses and support staff.
• Deliver teaching and training within the department.
