We’re looking for a Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Urgent Care Centre at the Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK. As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient experiences and delivering exceptional clinical and professional leadership to the team. The Sister/Charge Nurse will be supporting and deputising for the Department Manager on supervising daily operations, clinical leadership and management within the Urgent Care Centre;

ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and experience. You will act as an expert practitioner, supporting the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care while providing clinical guidance and leadership to the wider nursing team. Acting as a role model, you will support staff development, oversee the smooth running of the department, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to maintain excellence in patient care whilst driving continuous improvement across the service.

The position provides mentorship and support to the team, serving as both a clinical expert and role model. You will ensure that the highest standards of care are maintained through rigorous monitoring of both personal and clinical team competence, implementing evidence-based practices, adherence to policy & guidelines, fostering development initiatives and delivering high quality service to patients, their families and other stakeholders.

The role requires active promotion of the Unit within Princess Grace Hospital, HCA and external referrers as well as participation in relevant forums to drive continuous improvement and service growth. • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
• Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in a similar setting (Urgent Care, Accident & Emergency)
• Speciality certification relevant to Urgent Care;
  Strong triage, assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience leading and developing nursing teams
• Recognised post graduate emergency nursing course
• Recognised course in plastering techniques
  
  Excellent communication and organisational skills
