Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the post of Clinical Physiologist to work in the prestigious department of Electrophysiology currently located at the City Road site.

The successful applicant will have completed a science degree or other relevant qualification and should have experience working in a clinical and / or hospital environment. Candidates must have good communication skills, good manual dexterity, and an ability to work well with a range of patients and staff at all levels. The ability to use Microsoft packages is essential to the role.

Applicants are encouraged and would be welcomed to visit the service.

The post-holder will be supported and trained to undertake vital diagnostic testing of the eyes and visual function of a wide range of patients using a variety of both electrophysiological and psychophysical techniques. These investigations are essential in the diagnosis of patients and as a result pivotal to patient’s treatments and care plans.

The Electrophysiology Department provides internal services to both planned and emergency care. Due to the expertise and specialism within the department, referrals are also received nationally.

The Clinical Physiologist’s role in the visual electrophysiology department primarily involves testing a wide variety of patients and volunteers, of all ages, utilizing a range of electrophysiological and psychophysical techniques, to assist in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of disorders.
