We'relooking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Gastrointestinal (GI) team at The Wellington Hospital.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting patients with both benign and malignant gastrointestinal conditions, including lower GI (colorectal), upper GI andhepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) pathways. Working within one of the UK's leading private hospitals,you'llbe part of a close knit multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering personalised,evidence basedcare throughout every stage of the patient journey.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the GI service,you'llbe a consistent and trusted point of contact for patientsfromdiagnosis onwards.

You'llmanage a specialist caseload, coordinate complex carepathwaysand provide clinical expertise, education and emotional support to patients and their families. Working closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team,you'llattend specialist clinics, ward rounds and MDT meetings while helping to drive service development, qualityimprovementand best practice across the service.

• Act as a key worker throughout the patient pathway, providing expert support, carecoordinationand continuity of care.

• Manage aspecialistGI caseload, undertaking holistic assessments and developingpersonalisedplans of care.

• Provide clinical information,education and emotional support to patients,families and carers, enabling informed decision making throughout treatment.

• Collaborate with consultants and the multidisciplinary team through clinics, MDTmeetingsand ward rounds to deliver seamless patient care.

• Contribute to audit, research, servicedevelopmentand quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and experience.

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration, evidence of continued professional development and experience working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within a relevant specialty.

• Significant post registration experience within a gastrointestinal, gastroenterology, colorectal, upperGIor HPB service, alongside completion of a relevant postgraduate qualification at Level 6 or Level 7.

• Experience managing complex patient pathways and providing specialist support throughout diagnosis,treatment and recovery.

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the confidence to work closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams while advocating for patients and supporting them through challenging and emotionally complex situations.

• A strong understanding of clinical governance, audit, service improvement and evidence based practice, alongside the ability to lead and influence positive change within a specialist service.
