• Conduct regular inspections of vegetation in and around operational sites to assess health and safety conditions.
• Perform tree pruning, cutting, and removal as needed to maintain clear sightlines and prevent hazards.
• Operate various tools and machinery, including chainsaws, brush cutters, and chippers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with environmental teams to develop and implement vegetation management plans that align with ecological best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including types of vegetation managed and equipment used.
• Assist in the planting of new trees and shrubs, ensuring proper techniques are followed for optimal growth.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest techniques and safety regulations in vegetation management.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations involving vegetation, such as fallen trees or hazardous conditions, to ensure public safety.
• Work alongside other departments to support broader operational goals, including infrastructure maintenance and environmental stewardship.
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote awareness of vegetation management efforts and their benefits.
• Uphold the company's commitment to sustainability by minimizing waste and using eco-friendly practices in all operations.
• Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

• Previous experience in vegetation management or a related field is preferred, ideally spanning at least two years.
• Proficiency in the safe operation of landscaping and vegetation management equipment, including chainsaws and brush cutters.
• Strong understanding of plant species and their growth requirements, as well as knowledge of local flora and fauna.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with the community.
• Valid driver's license, with the ability to travel to various work sites as required.
• Certification in relevant health and safety practices, such as First Aid or NPTC chainsaw qualifications, is advantageous.

• Experience in ecological restoration or conservation projects.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices related to vegetation management.
• Familiarity with GIS software or other mapping tools for planning vegetation management activities.
• Previous experience working within a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
