Delivery Scientist

Final Dose's platform requires delivery solutions tailored to each therapeutic indication. You will lead delivery engineering across multiple administration routes, optimizing lipid nanoparticle formulations for tissue-specific targeting and therapeutic efficacy. Your work will bridge in vitro formulation development with in vivo validation and ultimately support technology transfer for GMP manufacturing. This is a critical role linking our construct engineering with clinical-stage drug products.

• Lead LNP delivery engineering across multiple administration routes, including local, systemic, and inhaled formulations
• Develop and optimize LNP formulations with full physicochemical characterization (DLS, encapsulation efficiency, zeta potential)
• Perform in vitro delivery optimization and hand off validated formulations to the in vivo team for animal studies
• Support CMO/CDMO selection and technology transfer for GMP-grade manufacturing
• Collaborate with biology teams to evaluate delivery efficiency using functional readouts (editing efficiency, reporter assays) in cell lines and primary cells

• Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, drug delivery, biomedical engineering, or chemical engineering
• 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience with lipid nanoparticle formulation
• Demonstrated expertise in at least two of the following: mRNA‑LNP encapsulation and delivery, tissue-targeted delivery (SORT technology or ionizable lipid screening), inhaled or pulmonary drug delivery
• Experience with microfluidic mixing and formulation scale‑up
• In vitro delivery characterization in cell lines and primary cells

• Experience with intravesical or local drug delivery
• CMC or technology transfer experience with a CDMO
• Air‑liquid interface (ALI) culture and aerosol delivery expertise
• Awareness of GMP manufacturing processes and requirements
