The WW Consumables Private Brands team is creating a global portfolio of consumables products and seeking an experienced Quality Manager (QM) to support end‑to‑end product lifecycle management. This position will be responsible for ensuring product quality, from early product development to mature assortment already launched in the marketplace. This position will work with internal cross‑functional stakeholders and with external suppliers to develop and implement Amazon Private Brands' quality program, using customer insights to drive product development and improvement opportunities, assessing product performance and quality attributes, ensuring quality standards in manufacturing, developing and managing risk assessment plans, managing corrective actions, managing audits and supplier relationships, and developing SOPs and templates.
This person will manage quality programs in conjunction with Food Safety and Compliance teams, Product Development and Sourcing teams, and various other stakeholders. This role requires expertise in consumer‑packaged goods manufacturing, strong organizational and communication skills (verbal & written), a solution‑oriented mindset, a high bar for quality, a clear focus on customer needs, and a track record of operating in a dynamic environment.
They must also possess a proven ability to lead, influence, and communicate with cross‑functional teams. A successful candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, has strong attention to detail, can operate autonomously, is motivated by a fast‑paced environment, and has the capacity to invent and simplify their ways of working and operating through the use of AI tools.
- Own end‑to‑end product quality from concept to launch, developing new products and improving existing ones to meet customer expectations and partnering closely with suppliers.
- Work with suppliers to ensure an optimized selection of new products that customers love, based on product assessment against technical documentation, and customer preferences and expectations.
- Maintain product quality metrics for the assortment, in alignment with APB Quality goals, including technical product and packaging specifications, tolerances, and quality testing plans.
- Write, maintain and update SOPs to develop quality assurance programs.
- Work with suppliers to ensure adherence to GMP requirements, Factory Quality Audits, and CAP development, implementation and closure; product specifications; finished product production approval; product traceability; ongoing supplier quality programs; and continuous product improvement.
- Develop and audit process and tools to ensure supplier compliance to internal (Amazon) and external (Regulatory) standards and requirements.
- Establish, manage and monitor key performance metrics for suppliers, internal stakeholders, and Amazon customers.
- Manage supplier performance proactively, ensuring consistent quality of finished products.
- Manage corrective actions with suppliers in response to customer review feedback and concessions, and manage product improvement activities post‑launch.
- Travel as required to meet with suppliers and Amazon stakeholders (~15% of time).
- Collaborate with other members of the WW Amazon Private Brands team, including other Quality Managers, Category Managers, Product Managers, Instock Managers, Packaging Managers, Sustainability Managers, Legal and all relevant stakeholders in supporting project timeline deliverables.
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with tech and non‑tech teams.
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
- Experience in program or project management.
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
- Experience defining and executing program requirements.
- Experience in driving end‑to‑end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
