We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Thames, part of Galliford Try.
In this role, you will oversee and coordinate all on-site electrical activities, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with specifications, contractual requirements, and quality standards. You will help ensure a safe working environment for everyone on site and contribute to excellent customer satisfaction.
What you will be doing:- Supporting the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors.
- Ensuring compliance with Galliford Try’s Electrical Safety Rules and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
- Checking that all relevant documents accurately describe the work to be undertaken and ensuring HS&E documentation is up to date and correctly recorded.
- Reviewing Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Supervising work to ensure it aligns with approved Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Recording work progress on drawings or other suitable media as required.
- Inspecting and recording incoming materials and associated documentation.
- Tracking material locations where traceability is required.
- Ensuring site testing is conducted in accordance with IEE 18th Edition requirements.
- Recording non-conformances and improvement opportunities, agreeing follow-up actions with the responsible person.
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture and recognising that safety is central to every task.
- Assisting with planning and change control, maintaining clear and accurate records.
- Coordinating with customers and non-electrical trades.
- Representing and promoting Galliford Try positively.
- Managing the receipt, issue, and distribution of drawings on site.
- Maintaining accurate records of variations.
- Supporting quarterly reviews and assisting with resource forecasting.
- Managing site drawing control and reporting.
- Preparing and reviewing Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Supporting construction completion processes and Take Over Certificates.
- Applying and promoting Galliford Try’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies and targets.
- Following all processes outlined in the Galliford Try BMS and suggesting improvements when identified.
- Ensuring the 4 Projects system is used for document management.
We’re looking for someone who can bring experience, commitment, and a proactive approach to safety and quality.
- Proven experience in the water/wastewater industry
- City & Guilds Electrical Installation qualification.
- SSSTS/SMSTS certification.
- CSCS/ECS card.
- HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering.
- City & Guilds APLV Certificate.
