Hayes, Middlesex – Salary £30,000 - £38,000 + Training & Development – Permanent | Days Only
WF Tech are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Hayes who are looking to add an experienced Quality Inspector to their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in precision engineering and component inspection to join a stable business offering long-term career development, including training on CMM equipment for the right candidate.
WorkingHours
- Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
- Friday: 07:30 – 15:00
- Permanent Days Position
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring precision‑engineered components meet customer specifications and quality standards through accurate inspection and measurement techniques.
- Conducting first‑off and final inspection of precision‑machined components
- Inspecting parts against engineering drawings and specifications
- Using a range of mechanical measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Recording and maintaining accurate inspection documentation
- Supporting quality investigations and continuous improvement activities
- Assisting with the completion of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) where required
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
- Verniers
- Micrometers
- Height Gauges
- Shadow Graphs
- Slip Gauges
- Pin Gauges
- Bore Gauges
- General precision inspection equipment
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience carrying out first‑off and final inspections
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Good understanding of precision measurement techniques
- Experience completing FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports)
- Experience using CMM equipment
- CMM experience is not essential; full training can be provided for candidates who demonstrate strong performance and successfully complete their probation period.
- £30,000 – £38,000 salary depending on experience
