We’re recruiting a Quality Engineer to join a leading organisation within the nuclear power sector, based in London. This hybrid role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant projects focused on energy security and Net Zero objectives. Locationand Working Pattern
Hybrid – London, England (3 days per week on-site)
Client OverviewOur client plays a key role in delivering nuclear power projects across the UK and continental Europe, driving forward programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. Their mission is to deliver safe, high‑quality solutions on time while supporting Net Zero and energy security goals.
Responsibilities- Implement Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) and Quality Execution Plans
- Ensure suppliers and contractors meet quality requirements, CQAPs, ITPs, LTQRs, and contractual standards
- Coordinate inspections, surveillance activities, witness points, and testing programmes
- Support supplier audits and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Review manufacturing, construction, and quality documentation, including handover records
- Monitor non‑conformances, quality issues, and lessons learned for continuous improvement
- Report quality metrics and maintain effective stakeholder engagement
- Proven experience in quality assurance/control within nuclear or other safety‑critical industries
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 19443, IAEA GSR‑2, and quality management systems
- Experience with supplier audits and supply‑chain quality management
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills
- HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent in engineering, science, or a related discipline
- Exposure to large‑scale nuclear projects or complex infrastructure sectors
- Additional qualifications in quality management or auditing
