This is an excellent opportunity for a CMM Inspector to join a stable and growing precision engineering business with a strong reputation for quality, reliability and continuous improvement.
As the CMM Inspector you will create and maintain CMM inspection programmes, carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections, interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications, and identify and report non-conforming components.
The CMM Inspector will also work closely with engineering and production teams, supporting quality initiatives and helping ensure components meet the required standards within a modern manufacturing and inspection environment.
DUTIES- Create and Maintain Programmes:
Create and maintain CMM inspection programmes to support accurate component inspection - Carry Out Inspections:
Complete first-off, in-process and final inspections in line with quality requirements - Interpret Engineering Drawings:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and inspection requirements - Use Inspection Equipment:
Work confidently with CMM equipment, inspection tools and measuring equipment - Report Non-Conformance:
Identify, record and report non-conforming components clearly and accurately - Support Quality Improvement:
Contribute to continuous improvement activity and wider quality initiatives - Work with Internal Teams:
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support smooth manufacturing and inspection processes - Maintain Accuracy:
Ensure inspection work is completed with strong attention to detail, organisation and reliability
- Proven experience programming and operating CMM equipment
- Experience using MCOSMOS and PC-DMIS
- Background in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Confident using inspection tools and measuring equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
