Days | £15.00–£19.00 per hour | 28 Days Holiday + Pension

An established precision engineering and manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector / Quality Inspector to join its quality team.

The position will involve the inspection of precision machined components
, ensuring parts meet the required dimensional and quality standards before release.

• Inspect precision machined components

• Carry out dimensional and visual inspection

• Work from engineering drawings and specifications

• Use micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring equipment

• Operate CMM and automated inspection equipment

• Record inspection results and identify non-conforming components

• Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards

The company currently uses Ferranti and Keyence inspection equipment
, so previous experience with either would be advantageous.

You should have previous mechanical inspection experience within a precision engineering, CNC machining or manufacturing environment
.

You will need to be confident using standard mechanical inspection equipment and have experience operating a CMM
.

Experience inspecting CNC machined components and interpreting engineering drawings would be particularly relevant.

This is a permanent days position paying £15.00–£19.00 per hour
, depending on experience, plus 28 days’ holiday and pension
