A rare opportunity to take manufacturing-level Food Safety & Quality expertise into one of London’s most prestigious food environments.
Ballantine Recruitment is partnering with an iconic luxury retailer to appoint a Quality Manager in Central London.
The operation is going through an exciting period of transformation, introducing the structure, controls and Food Safety standards you would expect within a high-performing food manufacturing environment.
This is not a traditional retail Quality role.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape standards, develop a team and influence how Food Safety and Quality is embedded across a complex, fast-paced premium food operation.
The Role
You will:
* Lead and develop a team of Quality Controllers
* Build, maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System
* Drive high standards across Food Safety, HACCP, allergens and operational compliance
* Lead investigations into customer complaints, RCA and improvement activity
* Develop and strengthen allergen risk management
* Work closely with Operations, Production Kitchens and Chefs on continuous improvement
* Coach operational teams to strengthen ownership of Food Safety and develop the wider Food Safety culture
* Support departmental KPIs, audits and regulatory standards
* Deputise for the Technical Manager when required
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with Quality professionals who bring:
* Previous Quality Manager / senior Quality experience within food manufacturing or food service
* Strong experience with Ready-to-Eat products
* Excellent working knowledge of BRCGS or another GFSI recognised standard
* HACCP and Food Safety Level 3 or above
* Strong QMS, auditing, allergen and compliance experience
* Proven people leadership and team development capability
* The confidence to work closely with Operations and Chefs
* A practical, hands-on approach to Food Safety and continuous improvement
* A genuine appetite to drive change and improvement
Why This Opportunity?
If you’ve built your career within food manufacturing but are looking for something different, this offers the chance to take that technical discipline into a high-profile, premium and customer-facing environment.
You’ll be joining at a time of genuine change, with the opportunity to influence standards, develop people and make a visible impact across the operation.
