Senior Estates Surveyor

Location:

North London
Rate: £475 per day (Umbrella)
Contract length: 6 months

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Senior Estates Surveyor to join a North London Local Authority on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied property portfolio, delivering key estate management activities and providing commercial property expertise within a busy public-sector environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews, lease renewals, regears, lettings and dilapidations.

· Lead complex estate management cases, providing practical and commercially focused advice.

· Identify opportunities to maximise income, reduce costs and improve property utilisation.

· Support valuations, asset reviews, acquisitions, disposals and option appraisals.

· Work closely with Legal, Finance and external stakeholders to deliver effective property solutions.

· Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management.

About You:

· Strong background in commercial estates or asset management within local government.

· Excellent knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation and property transactions.

· Proven negotiation skills and sound commercial judgement.

· Ability to manage a demanding caseload independently and deliver results quickly.

· Relevant property qualification or substantial equivalent experience.
