A funded PhD opportunity is available in Perovskite Solar Technology at Queen Mary University of London in Stoichko Dimitrov's group. The project focuses on the scale‑up and optimisation of perovskite solar cells, with an emphasis on high‑throughput material characterisation and the development of fabrication methods. The role involves hands‑on laboratory work, instrumentation design, and data‑driven analysis to accelerate photovoltaic device development.
The candidate will present results at conferences and seminars and engage with the wider renewable‑energy research community.
- Master’s degree (MSc or MSci) with a strong academic record
- Background in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related disciplines
- Experience with laboratory research, data analysis, and scientific reporting
- Understanding or experience with photovoltaics (perovskites desirable)
- Motivation to work on renewable‑energy technologies and sustainable innovation
- This opportunity is open only to UK nationals and UK residents.
