About the TeamThe Dow Jones GRI Advisory practice combines the consulting expertise of Dragonfly Intelligence and Oxford Analytica to deliver tailored solutions for clients navigating complex environments. Role PurposeThe Associate, Protective Intelligence will have a strong grasp of international security dynamics and an understanding of their implications for businesses and operations. The role requires research, writing and editing skills, creative thinking, strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, and the capacity to work on a wide range of protective intelligence projects across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities- Work on client‑facing protective intelligence projects from day one and play a vital role in project development and delivery.
- Conduct high‑quality open‑source research, monitoring and data gathering to support protective intelligence work.
- Contribute to scoping client and prospect needs and develop proposals accordingly.
- Deliver high‑quality project work within agreed timescales, seeking guidance where required.
- Work to deadlines on several engagements simultaneously, demonstrating the ability to move flexibly between projects.
- Academic or professional background in international security, conflict studies or international relations (or other related fields).
- Excellent research, analytical and drafting skills; proven application of technical research skills (e.g. data analysis or domain‑specific tools) will be considered an advantage.
- The ability to provide written research accurately, clearly and concisely, and in accordance with an in‑house methodology.
- Knowledge of or an interest in security and/or international affairs; a regional focus is desirable but not required.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of other languages (including French, Mandarin, Russian) will be considered an advantage.
- Relevant work experience in research and/or threat monitoring and/or consulting.
