Equity Research Analyst – Thematics and Sustainability
For our Equities department, we are looking to hire an experienced Equity Research Analyst with a focus on global themes and sustainability. The role is based in a two‑person team that collaborates closely with sector research teams to produce commercial, thought‑leadership pieces and support the bank’s growth in thematic research.
Responsibilities- Conduct sell‑side thematic research to identify global trends and macro‑events that create value opportunities across sectors.
- Advise corporates on sustainability narrative from a financial markets perspective, working with Corporate Broking and ECM to build relationships.
- Engage institutional investors through client meetings, roadshows, conference calls, and bespoke research responses to generate dialogue and revenue.
- Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with company management teams, attending results presentations, investor conferences, and industry events to gather proprietary insights.
- Support franchise growth by enhancing research processes, sector databases, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Previous experience as a sell‑side Equity Research Analyst with the ability to write research reports independently.
- Strong thematic research writing skills and a collaborative work mindset.
- Demonstrated client marketing experience from a sell‑side perspective.
- Passion for sustainability investing, ideally with experience in the sustainability sector.
- Creative generation of high‑impact, investable ideas.
- Degree‑level education.
