ResponsibilitiesThe role might involve evaluating climate change and energy policies, assessing economic impacts of government policies, designing auctions, analyzing competition, developing pricing systems, and preparing expert reports for litigation and arbitration.
- Apply technical skills and knowledge from graduate studies to regulated industries across jurisdictions.
- Perform and develop cutting‑edge economic analysis on complex real‑life issues.
- Write research reports and prepare client presentations for senior staff and clients.
- Influence project strategy, including oral and written submissions.
- Collaborate with in‑house experts and external academics.
- Develop and strengthen project and people‑management skills.
- Deliver internal training sessions.
- Hold a BA/BSc and a Master’s or PhD in Economics with an exceptional academic record. Specialists in microeconomics, IO, econometrics, and finance are of particular interest, but strong analytic economists from any field are welcomed.
- Enjoy microeconomics and quantitative research.
- Be comfortable working in Excel, Stata, R, Python or other quantitative software.
- Have strong attention to detail and analytical, critical thinking skills.
- Possess strong written and spoken English communication skills; fluency in another language is a plus but not essential.
- Work effectively both independently and in teams.
