Research Fellow – Redeployment Opportunity

University College London (UCL) is offering a redeployment opportunity for the position of Research Fellow within its academic and research environment. The Research Fellow role is designed to support high-quality research activity within an established academic department or research group. The successful candidate will engage in independent and collaborative research activities, contributing to the design, execution, and dissemination of research findings. The role typically involves working closely with principal investigators, academic staff, and research collaborators to deliver project milestones, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to grant-funded research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced research in a designated academic field
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research methodologies
  • Analyse and interpret research data using appropriate techniques
  • Prepare high-quality research outputs including publications and reports
  • Collaborate with academic staff, research teams, and external partners
  • Contribute to grant applications and research funding proposals where appropriate
  • Present research findings at seminars, conferences, and academic forums
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and institutional research standards

Eligibility Criteria

  • A PhD (or near completion) in a relevant academic discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting independent research
  • Strong academic publication record or evidence of research output potential
  • Experience working within research projects or academic environments
  • Ability to manage research activities and meet project deadlines
  • Familiarity with research methodologies relevant to the field

Required Expertise/Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
