Job Description
Calling all health economists! We are recruiting for a new Health Economics Manager (Senior Specialist), based in Moorgate, London. This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest and most active HTA & Outcomes Research teams and to help secure national access to innovative medicines and vaccines.
What you will do- Develop and write economic sections of HTA and vaccine submissions.
- Build and validate cost‑effectiveness and budget‑impact models.
- Ensure clarity, robustness, and quality of economic evidence.
- Manage external vendors producing models or analyses.
- Represent the company in HTA meetings and advisory settings.
- Contribute to submission strategy and resolve technical challenges.
- Work closely with UK, global, and external stakeholders, and input into clinical trial design and global model development.
- Align with pricing, medical, and market‑access teams.
- Communicate risks, opportunities, and evidence needs.
- Support studies to address evidence gaps, including real‑world data.
- Contribute to systematic reviews, network meta‑analyses, and methodological research.
- Generate economic evidence across a product’s lifecycle.
- Assess pipeline products for HTA risks and opportunities.
- Support launch planning and market‑access strategy.
- Maintain expertise in health economics and HTA methods and support team knowledge development.
- Strong health‑economic modelling and HTA expertise.
- Clear, concise scientific communication.
- Stakeholder collaboration (internal & external).
- Strategic thinking across product lifecycle.
- Master’s degree in Health Economics or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in economic modelling, evidence synthesis, outcomes research, HTA dossier preparation and responding to HTA agencies.
- Knowledge of NICE methods and processes.
- Understanding of NHS working.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Quantitative and statistical literacy; able to work with complex datasets and assumptions.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience working collaboratively in a matrix organisation.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills across multiple concurrent projects.
- Proven ability to lead end‑to‑end HTA projects to tight timelines and high quality.
- The opportunity to be involved in a broad range of therapy areas and a large volume of submission work.
- High levels of autonomy and ownership in developing HTA submission dossiers in‑house.
- Involvement in the end‑to‑end HTA work, from clinical trial design to post‑HTA approval.
