Position Overview

The post holder will be joining the Centre for Preventive Neurology at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London and will work within the Parkinson's disease (PD) group, whose studies focus on the clinical, genetic and biomarker aspects in people with PD and at risk of PD. The Clinical Research Fellow will work on AI-PROGNOSIS, a project funded by EU Horizon/UKRI, aiming to advance PD diagnosis and care by developing novel, predictive AI models for personalised PD risk assessment and prognosis based on multi-source patient data and everyday digital biomarkers.

The Centre for Preventive Neurology is at the forefront of international research and brings together an expert team to carry out revolutionary new research into Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease.

Key Responsibilities

The post-holder will undertake research assessments and investigations as part of the clinical research team and under the supervision of the Consultant Neurologist. Responsibilities include clinical assessments, biological sample collection, data analysis and quality control, and assisting with specific aspects of AI-PROGNOSIS.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent). An MRCP or equivalent post-graduate qualification would be desirable. The role requires the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical research team.
