Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Greater London

Macmillan Davies is partnering with a high-growth AI software business to hire a Scientific Implementation Associate for its implementations team.

This is a brilliant entry point for someone with a strong scientific background into a role that sits at the intersection of science, data, software, and customers. You’ll work directly with chemists, materials scientists, and enterprise R&D teams, helping them translate complex lab workflows and experimental data into a platform built to modernise how scientific work gets done.

You’ll be:
  • Running hands‑on implementations for enterprise R&D customers, migrating legacy data and workflows into the platform
  • Interpreting scientific datasets and deciding how best to structure experimental information within the system
  • Joining customer meetings with scientists, lab teams, and R&D stakeholders, with a path to leading those conversations yourself
  • Partnering with senior implementation leaders on larger enterprise projects while also owning smaller customer accounts independently
  • Feeding real‑world customer insight back into product and engineering to help shape what gets built next
Candidate profile

They’re looking for someone bright, curious, structured, and confident, someone who can understand the science but also communicate clearly in front of customers.

You’ll likely bring:
  • A B.S. or integrated Master’s in a STEM subject such as chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, biology, or similar
  • Internship or academic research experience in a lab or scientific environment
  • A genuine interest in software, whether through Python, data tools, technical platforms, or similar exposure
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage directly with customers
  • Solid data fluency, including comfort working with spreadsheets, datasets, and scientific data structures
Whats on Offer

A chance to join a serious software business solving a real problem in R&D, and to build a career in implementation, product‑facing work, and customer delivery without losing touch with the science.
